Metallurgy is one of industrial productions, where still waste are formed and accumulated. To increase the involvement of waste in the manufacture of metals, the most appropriate is the competent use of scrap metal as secondary resources during production or global recycling. Due to the fact that the metallurgical industry is an extended sequence of technological processes from ore mining to finished products, it is most efficient to present a complex element flow of iron in the form of a model. Such description, including the variables characterizing the movement of iron from one process to another, allows a more competent description of the overall process. To process an array of information represented by a large set of values, it is most efficient and justified to use the computing ability of a computer. Thus obtained retrospective model, adequate to the object of study, allow prediction of secondary iron resources.
