Реферат | The article describes history of mining engineers training at the Freiberg Mining Academy, Germany. The scope of the narration encompasses the period from the end of World War II down to recent times. In 1945 Freiberg became a center of mining engineering education. Since that time, the studentship of the Freiberg Mining Academy has grown from 400 to 3000 members. The connection of the contingent of the mining engineering studentship with the business environment in the country and on the world market of minerals and raw materials is traced. Mining companies of high worth in stock exchanges offered wide range of jobs, which wakened consciousness of criticality of mining in the community. The close analysis includes advantages and shortcoming of the Bologna Process in training of mining engineers (bachelor/master structure). It is emphasized that the intermediate education stage of quick training of bachelors is inefficient as it omits giving knowledge required for self-activity at a mining company. The internationalization of education is highlighted, which means training of specialists for mining industry jointly with other countries (member states of the European Union, China, Russia, Mongolia, African countries, etc.). The international education contacts of the Freiberg Mining Academy constantly expand. The international sharing of proved projects and innovation in the sphere of mining engineering education rests upon the extension of relations between colleagues and organizations. Professors of mining engineering from the Freiberg Mining Academy are the members of the Society of Mining Professors. In 2006 the Freiberg Mining Academy in partnership with the scientists from Poland, Ukraine, Russia and Austria (European countries with the mature mining industries) initiated foundation of the International University of Resources (IUR). In 2012 the Freiberg Mining Academy established the World Forum of Universities of Resources on Sustainability. The analysis of development trends took into account the international experience in reorganization of educational processes in the light of modern standards of mining engineers training. |
