Реферат | It is known that during drilling, the hugest tangible costs are connected with the drill tools; consequently, creation and improvement of drill tool designs and application technologies are of the top-priority concern. Many science and production companies and leading researchers were and are engaged in development of promising drill tool designs and resource-saving technologies. From the review of publications, it follows that rock-breaking tool designs usually neglect a functionally interrelated system of three basic elements that govern efficiency of the tool–tock interaction. These basic elements of the functionally interrelated system are understood as the design, structure and technology of manufacturing and application of the tool. The authors determine the geometrical parameters of drill bit designs. The fi eld studies have been carried out in order to optimize design of drill bit water ways to ensure the most efficient treatment of bottomhole by water and removal of cuttings from under the drill bit. The application of the proposed-design drill bits enabled smooth drilling path, enhanced efficiency of tool owing to better removal of drill cuttings from bottomhole and higher rate heat withdrawal from the drill bit, increased reliability, wearability and trouble-free life of the drill bit and allowed increased penetration rate in rocks of above-average hardness and in abrasive rocks. The designed drill bits are absolutely novel, protected by three patens and make it possible to reach penetration rate of 11 m/h in rocks of medium drillability; the drilling length totals 15-m per drill bit without diamond carbide insert replacement. Moreover, the penetration rate has been increased by 1.8 times and the trouble-free life by 2.1 times per drill bit in rocks up to drillability categories IV–IX. The short-run production and introduction of the new drill bits in geological exploration companies has been started in Russia. |
