The German society is getting older. Less children are born and at the same time the people become more old. It can’t have serious consequences for the future of enterprises. In this connection, Salzgitter AG is actively working in this fi eld to provide management of this tendency. Still in 2005 the company has prepared the large package of measures, however, their directed exact application of this plan for different groups can be improved. It is necessary to attract more attention to ergonomic aspects at working places, and to persuade the workers that their own health is very valuable.
