Реферат | Apart from new technologies, production planning provides an important opportunity to increase energy and resource efficiency at continuous casters and hot rolling mill. To that aim planning tools can be applied. One major challenge is the proper formal description of the planning task. The article describes how energy consumption of the heating furnaces can be formalized and how it can be integrated in an energyoriented planning approach. The hypothesis that complex planning of casting units and got rolling mills has large potential for cutting of energy consumption and carbon dioxide emission seems to be trustworthy. The new challenges are presented mainly by large amount of different requirements for the operating programs of technical and logistic conditions and their aimed functions. The obtained practical results have confirmed the potential for long-term complex planning. Thereby it can be concluded that energy-oriented production planning is devoted for improvement of hot charging and decrease of energy consumption and harmful carbon dioxide emissions connected with it. It is a serious input in resource- and energy efficiency of steelmaking process, very important for its future development. |
