ArcelorMittal, the largest global steel producer, continues to invest in German metallurgical site about 88 mln. Euro in 2015. The company's top management is sure that steel has to be produced in Europe, however, several frame conditions are required. E.g., part of investments should be addressed in energy-saving technologies and in protection from atmospheric effects. It was underlined that steel is the main life and civilization material, but it is necessary to continue searching its optimal future place in global economy. The problem of social responsible development in German metallurgical industry is discussed.
