Реферат | The article presents the research into balancing energy of production blasts, based on which the author has patented the Blast Equilibrium Point method. The analytical expression (formula) of the method (know-how) is not disclosed in the article but the efficiency of the method is approved at commercial scale, in experimental blasting of coal and building stone in Karazhyra and Skalnoe open pit mines, respectively. The experimental blasts were compared with the conventional blasting in rocks with the similar characteristics, parameters of blastholes and explosive charges, height of benches, blasthole patterns and close-located epicenters of explosions. The only difference was that in the experimental blasting, the detonating cartridge (explosion initiation) was placed in the explosive charge column as per the calculated “blast equilibrium point” — i.e. in accord with the author’s discovery (know-how) as distinct from the conventional blasting (when a shot exploder is placed at the top, bottom or center of the charge column). Besides, the article describes the seismic observation techniques and presents their results in the form of seismograms and tables. The proposed method of balancing production blasts (Blast Equilibrium Point method) enables 20–25% increase in the blast effect under the ground, i.e. blast efficiency enhancement, and 3–5 times reduction in the air blast power on the ground surface, which improves the efficiency and safety of blasting operations. |
