Реферат | The return water complex treatment installation, developed by the author, was subjected to commercial-scale testing under the conditions of a diamonds recovery plant tailings storage facility cell with geometric dimensions of 307х37х3.7 m, return water featuring a high content of slimes, mainly represented by saponite. The testing results are described, and it is shown, that at tailings slurry flow rate of ~250 m3/h, slime particles concentration in slurry decreased from 100–200 to 0.16–0.32 g/l. With that, power consumption did not exceed 5 W/m3 of tailings slurry. The return water complex treatment installation is also recommended to be used for thickening of saponite-containing sediment in tailings storage pond with a view to extract it and subsequently utilize for recycling and other purposes; for compaction of tailings dam with a view to prevent seepage; for return water clarification in tailings storage ponds and horizontal settlers at diamonds recovery plants in the Arkhangelsk region. |
