Реферат

The results of the laboratory testing, performed on the Lemnenskaya Plant and Turansky ore mining and processing enterprise ilmenite rougher concentrates in their final concentration stage with a view to improve rotor high-gradient magnetic separators reliability of operation, are presented. The task of the studies was to achieve high metallurgical results both with respect to concentrate grade and the valuable component (ilmenite) recovery, increasing the clearance between ferromagnetic bodies from 3 to 5 mm, using ferromagnetic bodies packs of the original design. The obtained results were compared with the performance indicators, achieved on a dry roll-type magnetic separator at a high speed of roll rotation, since this method is considered to be most effective in concentration of the type of ore in question. The tests were performed on a dry electromagnetic separator EVS-28/9 and a laboratory separator, simulating a commercial rotor high-gradient magnetic separator’s operation. As a result of the studies, it was established, that the performance indicators, achieved in wet high-gradient magnetic separation, are close to the dry magnetic separation results, obtained on separator of the EVS type, generally considered to be top performance. The effectiveness of using new ferromagnetic bodies packs with clearance between plates being 5 mm was corroborated; the importance of magnetic product washing in high-gradient magnetic separation prior to its discharge was noted. A formula was proposed for commercial high-gradient magnetic separators calculation.
