Реферат | Physical and technological properties of kyanite ores with large nodules extracted from Keiva, one of the most promising deposits of the Kola Peninsula, are studied with a view to developing rational beneficiation technology. The studies used mineralogical, physico-mechanical and technological methods of testing as well as statistical manipulation techniques. It is found that large nodule kyanite assemblies possess the highest strength among the other types of rocks, which promotes the high yield of kyanite concentrate in lump separation. The mineral density is high, and the revealed close correlation between the lump density and the alum earth content of the given kyanite ore type determined the use of float-and-sink process of the ore dressing. By the data on unlocking of the ore assemblies, the choice of rational coarseness for the large nodule type kyanite ore lump separation toward further development of highly efficient beneficiation technology is proved. It is shown that at optimized values of suspension density in the float-and-sink separation, the gravity concentrate, considered the granular high-aluminous concentrate for heat resisting ceramics and refractory production, can be obtained. The total recovery of alum earth to gravity concentrate makes more than 48 %. |
