Реферат | The large-scale blasting energy control in open-pit mines is aimed, on the one hand, at optimization of fragment size distribution of blasted rock and, on the other hand, at minimization of fly rock range and seismic impact on protected objects, including buildings and structures. One of the ways of handling the problems is redistribution of blast energy by justified selection of the borehole charge design and the charging procedure. This article describes the full-scale experiment aimed at investigating potentiality of blast energy control and seismic impact reduction by the appropriate design of borehole explosive charges and their physical layout in rock mass in terms of Nui Beo open-pit coal mine. Based on the experimental results, it is justified and recommended to use combination explosive charges with smaller diameter upper portion, which will 1.2–1.45 times decrease seismic vibration velocity, increase explosion yield, reduce powder factor and enhance efficiency of blasting. |
