At the beginning of exploitation of Sokolovsko-Sarbaiskoe Mining and Concentration Production Association, its power economy included four diesel-electrical stations (300 and 400 kW) and two handle commutators. Energetics of the Association was rapidly developed in the period of 1960-1964, with commissioning of 8 substations, 11 factories, 25 wells, water reservoirs, automatic telephone exchange of industrial area, and handle commutator “Kombinat” in Rudnyy. In the period of 1966-1970, the enterprise continued the capacities increasing, improvement of energy supply schemes and introduction of leading achievements of science and technology. From the beginning of 1970, the power engineering specialists of the Association successfully commissioned new power-supply objects into operation. Nowadays, the enterprise successfully carries out the modernization of energetic equipment. There was developed and successfully realized the long-term investment program, directed on replacement of morally and physically obsolete equipment and implementation of new technics. Almost all substations of the Association are telemechanized and exploited without participation of maintenance stuff. Nowadays, the Association is the largest Kazakhstan enterprise on extraction and processing of iron ore. The main products of the Association are non-fluxed pellets and iron ore concentrate. Technical equipping and level of installed power per employee at the Association corresponds to modern requirements and provides high-productive work of the Association.
