Реферат | The article is devoted to bauxites rod mill grinding process simulation in open and locked cycles by means of computer package JKSimMet 5.1 with subsequent study of obtained models with a view to grinding process intensification and optimization. The optimization criteria are maximum capacity by final product of specified grade (maximum yield of –1+0.1 mm size fraction) and minimization of +1 mm size fraction ratio in ground product. It is noted, that grinding process intensification in open cycle is possible on the condition of its automatic stabilization and mill adjustable-speed drive application. As it is related to considerable costs, the grinding process intensification alternative — in locked cycle, has been studied. As a classification device, a curved sieve was used. In grinding process locked cycle study, near-mesh grain size (d50c) effect upon grinding results was investigated. Characteristic curves of +1, –1+0.1 and –0.1 mm size fractions yield, circulating load and specific output in relation to near-mesh grain size are presented. Optimal values of near-mesh grain size are determined as equal to 1.8–2.0 mm, with respective sieve slot width of 1.4–1.6 mm. Conclusions are drawn that introduction of locked cycle flow sheet with installation of curved screens with slot width of 1.4–1.6 mm will provide for 5–10 % increase in mill specific capacity with regard to –1+0.1 mm size final product. |
