Using the ArcGIS 9.3 program, specialists of «Belgorkhimprom» JSC created the basis of geological data and information projects for Zhitkovichi deposit (Naydinskaya and Severnaya deposits), Brinevskoe and Tonezhskoe brown coal deposits and Turovskoe and Lyubanskoe kerosene shale deposits. Creation of this basis was necessary for realization of technical and economic assessment of reasonability of industrial mastering of brown coal deposits and kerosene shale deposits in Republic of Belarus. This work was carried out in four stages and included the following operations:
-development of structure of geological database;
-updating of initial geological information in database;
-creation of geoinformation project;
-formation of composition-models for making and printing of finished maps.
