Design of ejecting units of flotation apparatuses KFM (КФМ) provides the process of intensive mixing of pulp by finest pressure gas bubbles, which makes it possible to do the following operations: — efficient depressing of pyrrhotine and flotation varieties of pyrite during the concentration of copper-zinc ores and copper ores; — acceleration of the process of dissolution of sulphate forms of zinc during the flotation of zinc cakes.
During the concentration of complex pyrrhotine-containing copper-zinc ore, the industrial machines KFM-1400M (КФМ-1400М) operated as high-efficient flotation apparatuses, simultaneously accelerating the flotation of copper and zinc minerals and depressing the pyrrhotine. During the two-year period of KFM exploitation, there was a success in increasing of extraction of copper from ore (by 3.4%), and extraction of zinc from ore (by 5.5%) with simultaneous increasing of quality of copper concentrate (by 3% of Cu) and zinc concentrate (by 1.5% of Zn). Introduction of KFM-1400M made it possible to remove 12 chambers of mechanical flotation machines from exploitation (the total space of chambers is 30 m3, and the total power is 120 kW/hour). During the concentration of complex pyritic copper ore, the introduction of flotation machines KFM-1400M (due to supression of flotation-active varieties of pyrite and decreasing of circulating loads) provided the increasing of total extraction of copper by 1.5% and increasing of copper content in the concentrate by 1%. According to results of pilot testings of zinc cakes flotation on the pilot apparatus KFM-180 (in comparison with mechanic flotation machines), there were obtained the higher concentration indices with higher specific capacity on initial feed (by 4 times) and on foam product (by 3 times). Results of testings make it possible to recommend the industrial machines KFM during the processing of zinc cakes. At the same time, technical and economic indices of zinc cake processing are increased due to decreasing of flotation costs and costs of the following Waelz process. |
