This article describes the history of design, construction and exploitation of bund walls of concentration plant's tailing dump. All used terms and abbreviations are described in the beginning of the article. There are given the main important dates, associated with commissioning of hydraulic structures. The problems, which arose during the operation of the 1-st field of tailing dump, are considered as a part of the “Alluvial dam”. There are presented the key measures, which were carried out for resolving of identified problems and their consequences. There are described the scheme, intensity and frequency of alluvium on the 1-st field of tailing dump till 1974 and on the 2-nd field of tailing dump till the present day. As a part of the “Dam embankment”, there are briefly described the engineering decisions, which were made in the past years for the usage of various soils during the backfilling of river embankments for alluvium tiers fencing. There are also given the basic geometric parameters of these decisions. As a part of the “Fun Facts”, there is given the information of the 1970s projects about the possible ways of bund walls construction (alluvial — “A” and water inlet — “B”). There are noted the strengths and weaknesses of exploitation of received and rejected ways of dams building. There are considered the aspects of separate hydraulic transport of control and industrial product flotation tailings. This separate hydraulic transport was proposed in the project task in 1969. As a part of the “Problems and Solutions”, there are described the main problems, which appear during the dams alluvium (using the alluvium technology, which was accepted in 1983), and during the construction of the tailing dump river embankments. For the purpose of resolving of identified problems, the option of hydrocyclones usage during the alluvium process for improvement of tailings fractioning on the beach was considered in the first case. In the second case, there was considered the way of construction of river embankments from anthropogenic soils, including the usage of variety design and technical solutions.
