Polymetal company came into existence in 1999 in Magadan Region and became straightaway an integral part of the regional mining industry. The largest industrial center with a common raw material base under corporate management established in Magadan Region holds 90% of the overall regional silver production. In 2011 all mines and business units of Polymetal coalesced to create a hub. The performance and output of mining enhanced as a result.
