Principles for specifying selection of deformation degree in calibrated steel production with the assigned combination of consumer properties according to technical-normative documentation requirements are formulated. On the basis of monitoring the deformation and electric power parameters of working calibrated steel in Magnitogorsk Steel and Wire Works “MMK-METIZ”, changes in acting fl ow charts are introduced for the purpose of improvement of technological parameters, guarantee of quality of fi nished products, optimization of operation of drawing mills in accordance with their potential possibilities.
