Реферат

The problem of dusting at tailing dumps of mining and processing enterprises is urgent. Besides the practical measures, related to fixing and reduction of sizes of dust-forming surface, the short-term and long-term forecasts of potential pollutions become very important. These forecasts can be used in the certain set of meteorological parameters and characteristics of tailing dump.
Authors of this paper used the methods of numerical modeling to research the influence of a height of protection barrier on a level of atmosphere pollution down wind flow. This barrier was constructed upon leeward of the dust-forming surface of tailing dump. Analysis of distribution of concentration at the height of 2 m downflow is an evidence of reasonability of a proposition for creation of a protection barrier. Maximum positive effect is forecasted at the height of protection barrier of 1.5 m. At the same time, creation of a protection barrier with 0.5 m height can be recommended from the economic point of view, for the prevention of atmosphere pollution at the distance of near 1000 m and more.
