This paper is devoted to the 50-th anniversary of Primorsky Oredressing and Processing Enterprise. The most important stages of formation and development of the enterprise are described along with a history of the discovery of Vostok-2 deposit. The textural and structural features of ores and their mineral composition caused the selection of three basic technological types of ores. There is noted a uniqueness of skarn-scheelite-sulfide ores of one of the largest Russian deposits. This paper also enumerates the scientific and research organizations and people who participated and made a significant contribution into the development of the deposit and technological scheme of ore concentration. The intensive participation of scientific and research institutes helped to hold the improvement of concentration technology and intensification of output of tungsten concentrates. Besides the production of scheelite concentrates, there was developed and implemented the technology of cooper selection from sulfide product with the following beginning of production of copper concentrates. Nowadays, extraction of natural tungsten by enterprise makes up 4-5% of the global tungsten market or 10% of market of Western Europe and USA.
