«Mogilev Carriage Works» JSC, which is a part of "BELAZHOLDING" company, was organized in Mogilev in 2005. In 2006, the rolling stock department was entrusted with the functions of designing, engineering documentation development and designer's support to the rolling stock products at «Mogilev Carriage Works» JSC. This department was established as a part of "BELAZ-HOLDING" company – the scientific and technical center for execution of the development solutions of goods wagons production. As a result of the research work, the following units were designed and set into exploitation:
-two open wagons with 78 and 90 m³ of body capacity;
-hopper car for the carriage of mineral fertilizers;
-hopper car for the carriage of cement;
-hopper car for the carriage of grain;
-two-axle bogie for the goods wagon.
Low-alloyed steel is used in the metallic construction of body of all types of wagons, which improves the strength characteristics of wagon body and increases its resistance. The automatic brake system applies the tubes with plug lap joints, which considerably reduces the failures of automatic brake equipment, during the exploitation of rolling stock. The cushioning devices of not less than Т1 category are installed on all wagons, which makes it possible to reduce the dynamic influence on the wagon body. The design thoughts were realized in metal directly at «Mogilev Carriage Works» JSC, which shows the good growth dynamics in all activities within last four years. According to this, in 2011, the comprehensive program on creation of manufacturing capabilities for the production of 2500 goods wagons per year was successfully realized at the plant. Nowadays, the enterprise faces the task on creation of manufacturing capabilities for the production of 3000 goods wagons in 2013 and, starting from 2017, – increasing of manufacturing capabilities to the production of 5000 goods wagons per year.
