One of the basic requirements, which are claimed to the modern production, is an ability of production to suit the market timely, as well as to master the products quickly and deliver them on the market. These products meet all requirements of particular customers. The used technologies and organization of preparation and manufacturing of products should provide the modernization of output products and development of new equipment with more high consumer properties in short term and with minimal costs. In connection with the foregoing, nowadays, the most important is the organization of technical re-equipment of production, modernization of existing production capacities and creation of new production capacities. The production capacities, which were primarily created at “BELAZ” JSC, were based on application of “hard” technologies with wide usage of special machine tools, automatic machines and semiautomatic devices, which provided the high production efficiency. With the collapse of the Soviet Union, the serial production came down sharply and the product line grew up. According to this, there were created the conditions, where application of “hard” technologies became inefficient and even impossible. Creation of modern production, which should meet the requirements of modern market, became possible due to the application of modern computer technologies at “BELAZ”, during the designing of constructions of new products and preparing them for manufacturing. This creation is also possible due to the introduction of equipment with program control, during the process of products manufacturing. The basic volume of investments, currently directed on the creation and development of production capacities, are used on the purchasing of modern equipment with numeric control and progressive technologies, including IT-technologies. According to this, the following operations will be possible to “BELAZ”:
1) Creation of new production capacities, which provide the products manufacturing in the planned volumes, which is characterized by high production efficiency, stability and flexibility of production processes;
2) Insurance of decreasing of the terms of new products development and modernization of output products, due to the following factors:
- usage of modern development methods of design of construction and technological documentation;
- decreasing of volumes of preparation and high flexibility of capacities, created on the basis of the programmed equipment;
3) Raising the level of automation of technological process in mechanical operation, welding and blanking production and at other technological production stages, which is going to make more attractive labor at the enterprise;
4) Improvement of output quality, due to the higher level of automation and decreasing of influence of the human factor on the production process.
