“Non-ferrous Metals” is the leading Russian scientific-technical journal in English devoting to all problems of non-ferrous metallurgy (heavy metals, rare metals, light metals, noble metals, carbon materials, metal processing etc).

Way of the journal distribution - free access to the papers, published with article processing charge (APC).

The mission of this edition is to make foreign specialists aware about scientific and technical researches and development in non-ferrous metals industry in the former USSR countries.

In 2013, the «Non-ferrous Metals» journal was included into the international bibliographic and abstract database Scopus, which is an instrument for tracking of scientific articles' citedness. The Ministry of education and science of Russian Federation considers the Scopus database as a criterion of estimation of efficiency of activity of higher education institutes.

In 2019, the «Non-ferrous Metals» journal was included into the international bibliographic and abstract database Web of Science (ESCI), which is an instrument for tracking of scientific articles' citedness. The Ministry of education and science of Russian Federation considers the Web of Science (ESCI) database as a criterion of estimation of efficiency of activity of higher education institutes.

Published since 2001, volume up to 84 pages, circulation up to 250 copies. ISSN 2072-0807.

Its thematic plan covers all directions of scientific and technical development in non-ferrous metallurgy. The main journal sections include scientific-technical papers on heavy and light non-ferrous metals, noble metals and alloys, rare and rare earth metals, carbon materials, composites and multi-functional coatings, radioactive elements, nanostructured metals and materials, metal forming, automation etc. Theoretical and practical problems of ore mining and mineral processing, production and processing of non-ferrous metals, complex usage of ores, economics and production management, automation of metallurgical processes are widely observed in this journal.

"Non-ferrous Metals" journal publishes the papers of well-known scientists and leading metallurgists, elucidates important scientific-technical problems of development of concentrating and metallurgical enterprises, scientific-research institutes and universities in the field of non-ferrous metallurgy, presents new scientific directions and technical innovations in this area. The readers can find in this journal both the articles with applied investigations and with results of fundamental researches that make the base for new technical developments. Publishing according to the approach APC (Article processing charge).

"Non-ferrous Metals" is an expert peer-review edition; its editorial board incorporates leading and respectable scientists and practical specialists of non-ferrous metallurgy; it provides excellent expertise of published articles.
