Chernye Metally
The Chernye Metally journal No. 5-2022 was published, which is mainly dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Novotroitsk branch of NUST «MISiS».
The articles in this section cover the issues of increasing the magnetic properties of weakly magnetic iron ore raw materials, the use of complex modifiers in the production of steel with increased requirements for non-metallic inclusions, improving the technology of late graphitizing modification in the production of thin-walled castings from ductile iron, reengineering of the roller hardening machine of the sheet-rolling shop of JSC «Ural Steel» , the influence of the manufacture of brake discs on residual stresses and vibrations in the «disk-pad» system, as well as the development of a control system for an asynchronous electric motor based on an adaptive model in sheet rolling production.
The next «Preparation of Raw Materials» section will interest readers with an analysis of the formation of the strength of a pelletized multiphase dicalcium silicate sinter, performed by authors from the St. Petersburg Mining University.
The «Rolling» section presents developments implemented at the Novolipetsk and Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works.
The same issue contains articles in the «Coating and corrosion protection», «Welding and surfacing», «Machine-building technologies» and «Technological measurements» sections, prepared by specialists from the Naberezhnye Chelny Institute (branch) of Kazan Federal University, Kazan National Research Technological University, Magnitogorsk State Technical University, Kaluga branch of Bauman MSTU and Tula State University.
The journal also publishes a congratulation on the anniversary of Leonid Nikolaevich Shevelev, the chief researcher of the State Scientific Center "TsNIIchermet" named after I. P. Bardin, professor, Doctor of Economic Sciences.
