The June issue of the “Chernye metally” journal is mainly devoted to processes of rolling and heat treatment.

 

In particular, this section presents the publications of TsNIITMASH specialists (on the study of stresses in cast iron rolling rolls), the Moscow Polytechnic University (on the calculation of the parameters for straightening section profiles) and a joint publication of the Volgograd State Technical University and the Tula State University (on the study of heating parameters of billets in chamber furnaces with hot and cold charging).

 

Here is also an article dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the birth of P.I.Polukhin, who made a huge contribution to the development of the scientific school of metal forming of the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys.

 

The Pipe production section publishes works on the study of plugs of the helical rolling mill, carried out at the MISiS Metal Forming chair, as well as on the study of resistance of structural steel pipes to hydrogen embrittlement carried out at the Vyksa Metallurgical Plant.

 

Noteworthy is the article in the Preparation of raw materials section, which tells about the effect of antifreeze additives on the freezing capacity of iron ore concentrate of wet magnetic separation.

 

This issue also contains publications in the Metal Science and Metallography, Chemical Technologies, Ecology and Recycling and Engineering Technologies sections.

 

The issue ends with a review of the State diagram of alloys of the system iron - ε-Fe2C carbide monograph by S. V. Davydov, professor of the Bryansk State Technical University.
