Gornyi Zhurnal
The second issue of “Gornyi Zhurnal” (Mining Journal) (February 2018) continues the number of publications of the materials about the 100th anniversary of Moscow Mining Academy. The heads of the National University of Science and Technology MISiS, the legal successor of the Academy, wrote an article about the historical path of the Academy, its educational process and scientific investigations. The director of the Mining Institute MISiS wrote an article about the future of mining engineers in the light of modern technological and organizational transformations in mining. This part also includes an article about the formation and development of scientific school of mining transport.
This issue includes a compilation of articles about the scientific-practical conference “Combined geotechnology: resource-saving and energy efficiency”, which took place in 2017.
Professor Alexander G. Vorobiev, the chief editor of our Publishing House, celebrates his 60th anniversary in February. He is the co-author of the article about the prospects of development and transportation of liquefied natural gas as an alternative to the pipe method of gas pumping.
