In 2000 Anatoly Nickolaevich was advanced again, he was appointed to the position of deputy general director for steel cord and wire production. In this new capacity he carried on working with the same zeal, and another phase of prosperity came for steel cord and wire production at BMZ: the number of produced steel cord constructions increased and relations with the famous customers became stronger.
In 2009 A. N. Savenok was appointed to the position of general director of Production Association ‘Byelorussian Steel Works’ — general director of Republican Unitary Enterprise ‘Byelorussian Steel Works’. July 2013 he took office of general director of Open Joint Stock Company "Byelorussian Steel Works - management company of "Byelorussian Metallurgical Company" holding".

To achieve those results in 2014 number of important investment projects were implemented: intensification of steel melting in electric arc furnace №1 with upgrading of de-dusting system, comprehensive upgrading of continuous caster № 2. In order to ensure increase in productivity of steelmaking units, cost reduction when purchasing raw materials from outside producers, lime kiln №3 was put into operation. From 2012 pipe-finishing line №3 had been successfully operated. Nowadays the construction of new units for secondary metallurgy and upgrading of de-dusting plant №3 are carried out.
Under the direction of A. N. Savenok have almost been completed guaranty tests within the frameworks of the biggest investment project ‘Organization of production of rolled sections with construction of bar-and-wire rod mill’. Official start-up of new production facility was on September, 25, 2015 and the President of the Republic of Belarus A. G. Lukashenko participated in the event. Within the scope of establishing of joint ventures with attraction of direct foreign investments in 2015 were accomplished the following investment projects “Establishment of high-pressure hoses production in the Republic of Belarus” and “Construction of air-separating plant № 3”.
Open Joint Stock Company "Byelorussian Steel Works - management company of "Byelorussian Metallurgical Company" holding" as exporting enterprise is closely integrated into world economical processes and it is logical that existing situation had negative influence for the plant operation.
But even at the time of crisis situation in the world the plant has not stopped investment and innovation activities, increasing its technical level and improving manufacturing technique. Anatoly Nickolaevich being an experienced manager acknowledges the fact that high efficiency operation can be ensured only by means of innovative development of production.
