Abstract

This article proposes an alternative method of recultivation of processed open pits on «Belgorod cement» JSC. This method shares the usage of inorganic wastes — electric precipitation dust and cytrogipsum as an inert material of pit excavation. Washout decreasing of chemical elements into ground waters was provided by isolation of wastes by the processed overburden of open pit. During the recultivtion of pits, the following experimental scheme was used:

- gradation of the pitedges;

- levelling of the plot`s contour;

- moving from temporary storage slag-heaps;

- placing the overburden to the bottom of open pit field and densification to form an impervious membrane;

- mixing the overburden with inorganic industrial wastes in order to create the stowage material and its stowaging with the following densification;

- formation of a protective surface screen (final blocking), application of ground and vegetable soil and planting the trees and shrubs.

Composition of the stowage material is a mixture of overburden and inorganic industrial wastes in the following ratio: overburden : electric precipitation dust of cement production : cytrogipsum = 2 : (1–1,5) : (0,2–0,3).
