The article establishes the basis for transfer to a principally higher safety level of mining by implementation of gas analyzer computerized servicing hardware/software complex. The complex eliminates the human factor from the gas analyzer diagnostic and correction process and therefore virtually excludes using malfunctioning devices in a mine. The complex also provides for read-out and processing of information from the memory of gas analyzers and stands, and on this basis allows the Chief Miner’s, industrial safety, automation and metrology services performing different analyses. In particular, the complex allows revealing the cases of gas protection blocking, cut-off or limitation of access of the mine air to the sensor, untimely maintenance of the device etc. In addition, the complex calculates the gas analyzers’ and their units’ service life and makes reports on distribution of the devices over the areas, their metrological characteristics, etc. This allows both providing for safety and substantial increase in gas analyzer park efficiency.
