Реферат

The results of laboratory separators comparative testing on two types of the Irshansky Mining Complex ilmenite rougher gravity concentrates are presented. The Lemnenskaya concentrating plant ilmenite concentrates final gravity and magnetic concentration stages are described. The final concentration is divided into four main processing stages: sands preparation for concentration, gravity concentration, wet and dry magnetic separation. The detailed mineral, chemical and grain-size compositions of starting products' samples are presented. By means of Faraday method, ilmenite specific magnetic susceptibility, producing a direct effect on separation results, was determined. Comparative analysis of processing performance of different types of separators has been performed. Comparisons were made between laboratory and commercial-scale separators, particularly, between separators EVS-28/9 and PV-30/10 (in dry mode) and between separators EVM-28/9 and PV-30/10 (in wet mode). Further trends for development of ilmenite rougher concentrates final concentration technology are set. In the course of testing it was established that application of separators of EVS and PV types permits to achieve standard commercial grade of valuable component in concentrate in one run, and application of dry magnetic separators with permanent magnets of PV type in ilmenite rougher concentrates final concentration, in comparison with wet separation, permits to considerably increase processing performance owing to absence of hydraulic friction force in material flow . The performed processing testings demonstrate the expediency of the tested separators application for improvement of processing flow sheets at concentrating plants.
