Abstract

The possibility of niobium-saturated alkali solutions obtaining by the way of Nb2O5 baking with sodium and potassium carbonates with further cake processing with water has been researched. Solutions with Nb2O5 content to 100 g/l have been obtained by baking of Nb2O5 with K2CO3 . 1,5H2O with a K:Nb ration equal to 2,3:1,0, temperature equal to 750 oC and cake processing with water with a S:L ratio equal to 1:2. Described solutions can be used in production of welding electrodes for alloying of electrode coatings with valuable component as niobium.
