Abstract

It could be wise to use two different approaches to increase extraction of platinum group metals from impregnated ores. First is the use of collectors that increase direct flotation of minerals containing platinum; second is the use of the regimes providing full extraction of all the sulfides without selectivity loss. The result of investigation and tests for collectors selective toward platinum metals are given in this article. Additionally, action mechanism and efficient of reactant condition in relation to sulphide minerals, based on usage of collectors combinations, such as thiocarbamates and xanthate, has been considered.
