| Abstract | In 1942 in the time of the Great Patriotic War the Moscow Mechanical Institute of Munitions was founded. After the end of war in 1945 it was renamed the Moscow Mechanical Institute, and then in 1953—the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute. All following names characterized it as a university. At the present time its name is National Research Nuclear University "MEPhI". |
