Abstract
Synthesis conditions and electrical properties of CeO2—MxOy (M = Dy, Gd, Y, Yb) and CeO2 — CoO (MgO, ZrO2) solid solutions have been studied. The electrical conductivity and heat sensitivity of the initial compositions and the equilibrium phases of the solid solutions have been measured in the 300—900 K temperature range. Stability of the electrical parameters has been tested during heat treatment in oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. The dependence of electrical resistivity on the type of oxide in the solid solution has been determined. The solid solutions have been demonstrated as a promising material for temperature sensors.
