Abstract

The reliability of pipelines and effectiveness of their use largely depend on their corrosion resistance, therefore insulation coatings are applied to the pipelines and various electrochemical protection methods are used. External protective coatings are applied to the pipes in the Large Diameter Pipe Division of JSC Vyksa Steel Works in the pipes corrosionresistant coating lines No. 3 and No. 4 of the pipe anti-corrosion coating workshop using equipment of flow mechanized lines. The equipment of the pipes anti-corrosion coating lines No. 3 and No. 4 can be divided into several groups: transport, pipe preparation, applying insulating materials, dressing and inspection. In total, 205 units of equipment involved in the technological process of applying anti-corrosion coating on pipes were used in two lines. The number of critical equipment is 112 units, or 55% of the total. To determine the operational stock of inventory needed to reduce the time to restore functionability of the critical equipment for the corrosion-resistant coating of pipes, the study of the performance of the critical equipment of the JSC Vyksa Steel Works corrosion-resistant coating lines was conducted. Based on the analysis of failures in the SAP ERP intelligent system and the reliability service archive, the reasons for the duration of elimination of the equipment failures were determined. It was established that the main reason for emergency shutdowns of machines is the operation of the units for failure. In this regard, it was proposed to change the strategy for servicing certain types of equipment.
