Реферат

Mechanical load of force transmission on rolling material has been investigated by the specialists of Siegen University together with Willy Zahn Maschinenbau GmbH. It is shown that more detailed designing of the components can be realized using up-to-date methods of computeraided engineering and final element analysis, while classic conservative methods can lead to distorted results in definite circumstances. The applied numerical calculation methods allow to vary parameters for optimization of the component construction. The requested thickness of the rolling stock in roll stands is realized by the modification of the distance between the work rolls by using hydraulic cylinders. During the adjustment, force transmission is realized by means of a circular pressure plate that is pressed against a supporting bar. The applied load led to formation of cracks at the top of the pressure plate. Based on the evaluation of the stress distribution by numerical simulations, an explanation of the crack formation as well as suggestions for improved geometries could be realized. The obtained results can be used for simple and cheap varying of the construction, allowing to decrease the stressed state of the examined component at the rather lower level of allowable material load.
