The paper presents the results of the studies performed for the purpose of the Gaisky Ore Mining and Processing Complex Concentrating Plant ore-preparation complex Phase I and Phase II optimal operating regime determination. The studies included both commercial-scale testing on site and the laboratory works upon investigation of the processed raw material mechanical-and-physical properties, performed with a view to accomplish the following main tasks: — assessment of operating efficiency of separate apparatuses and the entire flow sheet, as well as a possibility of increasing operating performance; — estimation of the flow sheet maximum throughput rate with the secondary grinding product size being close to design value; — estimation of a possibility of producing the secondary grinding product size of approximately 83 % –71 microns with capacity being close to design value; — estimation of energy efficiency index of disintegration processes and a possibility of specific power consumption decrease. On the basis of the detailed analysis of the obtained experimental data with application of the state-of-the-art instruments of statistical treatment and mathematic simulation, an operational regime was developed, providing for the processing stage capacity increase, maintaining the achieved grinding product size. Changing over to the recommended regime will provide for up to 2 million tons of additional throughput annually. At the time of writing the paper, the proposed measures for organization of the production have been partially implemented. The final integration is planned for the 2016–2020s, to the extent that financing is provided and the raw material base of the Complex is developed.
