Abstract

JSC „EVRAZ Nizhniy Tagil Iron and Steel Plant“ is the World‘s largest processor of vanadium rich titanium magnetite ores. Study of impact of vanadium weight percentage in steel grade 09Г2С on the mechanical properties of rolled products which have unequal thickness of the profile elements to optimize the shaped product steel grade analysis has been conducted. In the course of the studies we performed mechanical tests, measured vanadium extraction rate in form of carbonitrides during rolling and cooling and its influence on mechanical properties and examined the rolled product macrostructure. We came up with the recommendations on the analysis of steel grade 09Г2С for production of strength class 375 and 390 materials.
