This article describes the methodology of optimization of geological and geophysical methods for the prospecting of gold deposits within the Archean greenstone belts of Finland. The main peculiarity of these territories is their complete covering by glacial deposits of various type and thickness. The main requirement during the prospecting works is the provision of equally high level of the carried out researches on the whole researched territory, guaranteeing the discovery of industrially valuable deposit. The whole complex of geological, geophysical and geochemical methods was used during the prospecting of gold deposits on the territory of Eastern Finland. The basis of optimization of such complex to the carrying out of prospecting works in the given geological conditions are not only the usage of modern apparatus possibilities of geophysical and geochemical methods, but also some changing in methodical fulfillment of certain massifs. The joint usage of detail geophysical and geochemical survey (already on the prospecting stage of researches) was a main direction in methods' complexing. As a result of experimental-methodical and industrial searchings, there was obtained a great experience in carrying out of prospecting works in this region. In connection with similar geologic structure of territories, materials of this article can be useful for geologists-experts, which plan the prospecting works on the territory of Republic of Karelia.
