This article presents the results of researches of influence of modified sodium diisobutyldithiophosphinate on hydrophobic properties of surface of minerals, included in gold-containing ores (pyrite, arsenopyrite and chalcopyrite). Method of measurement of force of air bubble detachment from the mineral surface was used for the researches. Taking into account the fact that the sodium diisobutyldithiophosphinate reagent is proposed for the usage as an additional collector to xanthate, there was investigated the changing of hydrophobic properties of mineral surface, both with individual supply of reagent, and with combination of this reagent with xanthate. Decreasing of flotation properties of pyrite and saving a high chalcopyrite floatability is possible due to the usage of sodium diisobutyldithiophosphinate reagent for gold as an additional collector to xanthate. It is shown that the sodium diisobutyldithiophosphinate reagent hydrophobizates the arsenopyrite surface in the same degree as xanthate. This fact corresponds about its non-selectivity, according to arsenopyrite. Sodium diisobutyldithiophosphinate reagent was tested as an additional collector in the time of flotation of gold-bearing sulphide low-arsenic ore. Content of gold in the I main flotation concentrate was increased by 7.3 g/t with increasing of gold extraction by 8.7%, in comparison with butyl xanthate. There was also increased the extraction of arsenic in the I main flotation concentrate from 19.79% in the experiment with xanthate to 41.12% in the experiment with usage of sodium diisobutyldithiophosphinate reagent. There was substantiated that extraction of no gold arsenic into the concentrate is decreased in the time of supplement of sodium dimethyldithiocarbamate before the collector of sodium diisobutyldithiophosphinate reagent.
