There is identified the connection between economic activity and environmental elements, expressed in non-exceeding of land acquisition thresholds and minimization of negative impact. Economic mastering thresholds for tundra and forest-tundra areas make up 5% and 10% of the area respectively. There are defined the limits of nature management, which enable to optimize the territorial planning without losses of environmental and social functions of landscapes. There are singled out the supposed threats to environment during exploitation of long-term development mining industry objects, including the concentration of poisonous emissions, discharges and wastes on the territory of Sosnogorsk and Ukhta districts. Enterprises, located in Usinsk district don`t make a significant negative influence. Existing traditional nature management (reindeer-breeding) and island dislocation of permafrost, extremely susceptible to every pollution, should be the main limitations of development. For the purpose of estimation of sustainability of environment to anthropogenic loads, the calculation of ecological situation intensity was carried out on the basis of the scoring of existing anthropogenic impact and sustainability of natural environment to it. According to the results of this calculation, Sosnogorsk and Usinsk districts became the most vulnerable. There are proposed the environmental protection measures for minimization of damage to the environment: necessity of implementation of developed methods of recreation of broken taiga and tundra ecosystems; obligatory carrying out of ecological examinations; fixing a license for usage of resources of possible amount of land acquisition for industrial infrastructure.

This work was carried out with the support of the program of fundamental researches of Ural Department of Russian Academy of Sciences, the project No. 12-I-7-2063 (12-И-7-2063) "Prospective transport corridors and mineral resource flows in Timan North Ural region: assessment of raw material potential and social and economic effects" No. GR 01201268596 (ГР01201268596).
