Abstract

Searching of new sources of hydrocarbons, including non-traditional sources, is forced by worsening of structure of residue hydrocarbon reserves in the regions of Russian oil and gas production. Progress in production of shale gas in USA corresponds about the possibility of rapid introduction of similar technologies in Russia. Analogues of “shale” strata of USA (Bakken) are widely developed on the territory of Russia and, in particular, in Timan-Pechora oil and gas bearing province. After the proposed complex of preliminary estimation and additional analytic researches, the experimental and methodological grounds for further drilling and experimental operations can be singled out on these analogues. In turn, the experimental and methodological grounds make it possible to obtain the objective conception about oil and gas potential of shale-bearing formation and their mastering possibility. Estimation of resources of oil and gas shale complexes on license areas of companies and their involving in research make it possible to get a concept about additional reserve of hydrocarbon raw materials, which can be mastered during the modern technologies.
