Equipment of “Belorusian Autoworks” JSC (“BELAZ”) has been operated in Republic of Cuba since 1969. The first dump truck, which was supplied to the territory of Cuba, was BelAZ-540А with 27 t of payload capacity. Totally, during 1970-1980, 111 mine dump trucks had been supplied to Cuban enterprises. Some of them are still in operation. Since 2005 till 2010, 56 dump trucks BelAZ-7540В and 6 dump trucks BelAZ-7540А with 30 t of payload capacity had been supplied to Cuba. The major customers of “BelAZ” open pit equipment are the companies of the Ministry of Construction. The «Carpat Belaz Service» S.R.L. Company is responsible for the promotion, sales and servicing of “BelAZ” equipment on the territory of Cuba. At the same time, there is being reached the possibility of modernization of old “BelAZ” equipment, which has been operated for its whole life cycle. Besides, «Carpat Belaz Service» S.R.L. carries on the negotiations about the creation of service center, on the basis of existing base in Camaguey. These negotiations are important for the purpose of expanding of amount of “BelAZ” equipment on the territory of Cuba, as well as of arrangement of high-quality and efficient service.
