Continuous work on the cab design upgrading is needed for the demanding requirements to the driver`s working place, as well as for the enforcement of regulations of normative documents. Recently, “BELAZ” JSC, have developed a new design of two-seat cab, intended for the complecting of mine dump trucks with 45-360 t of payload capacity. The cab meets all safety requirements EN-474, as well as the modern design trends. The force frame of cab (ROPS) was designed and tested to meet the requirements of the ISO 3471 standard. The interior was designed to have a safe and comfortable place for driver and passenger. All controllers are placed in comfort and reach zone. Besides, there was held the improvement of design of one-seat cab of mine dump trucks with 30-45 t of payload capacity. The cab is equipped with molded dashboard, efficient insulation from noise and vibration, and heater of new design. There was also introduced a new cab of loader (bulldozer). This cab is more wide with improved visibility, equipped with new dashboard. The cab has also the enhanced interior finish and efficient heater (conditioner - optional). According to the standard requirements, the force frame of cab (ROPS) is made of the high-resistance steel. Currently, the basic line of design improvement works is the creation of cabs in special design, particularly adapted to the severe northern conditions of dump trucks operation. All past and future changes in the cab design of “BELAZ” open pit equipment make it possible to satisfy the demanded requirements of customers.
